Watch the evening Ganga Aarti from the water, with the lamps, chants and bells in front of you and the river around you. Fixed prices, a free storyteller and boats for every group size.
The evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat is the best-known ritual in Varanasi. On the ghat steps it gets very crowded, and you often see it over other people's heads. From a boat anchored near the ghat you get an open view of the priests, the fire lamps and the crowd on the steps, with the river lights moving in the water.
Our Aarti rides run from Namo Ghat to Assi Ghat, with the boat anchored near Dashashwamedh for the aarti. The evening window we advise is 5:30 to 7:30 PM, so you can watch the aarti and still be back in good time. Please confirm your exact boarding time with us when you book, because it moves with the season.
Every boat comes with a free storyteller who tells the stories of the ghats you pass, so the ride is more than just the aarti.
All prices are for rides that include the Ganga Aarti. Private means the full boat for your group.
